 ADDENDUM TO TENDER NOTICE

TENDER NO: CGOKTI/278/2017-2018 FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR DEVELOPMENT OF KITUI HEADQUARTERS TO BE UNDERTAKEN THROUGH JOINT VENTURE PARTNERSHIP

 This Addendum is a follow up to the publication of the above Tender Notice that appeared in the Nation Newspaper on 31st  May, 2018,  inviting sealed bids from reputable, interested and competent firms to undertake the development of Kitui Headquarters to be undertaken through Joint Venture Partnership.
We would like to notify all eligible bidders that:
i. The size of the plot is 0.527 Ha and not 0.227 Ha as indicated in the RFP document. A copy of the new layout can be downloaded from the official website of Kitui County Government Website:  www.kitui.go.ke.
ii. Bidders should address any queries which they have on the tender to the Chief Officer, Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development (LIHUD), County Government of Kitui, P.O Box 33-90200 Kitui.
iii. Other details of the tender remains unchanged as per the Tender Notice of 31st  May 2018.

The County Government of Kitui (CGoKTI) through the County Ministry of Treasury intends to prequalify eligible suppliers on term contracts for financial year 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 to provide printing services for accountable and other documents.

1) REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR THE PROPOSED KITUI COUNTY HOUSING PROJECT TO BE UNDERTAKEN THROUGH JOINT VENTURE PARTNERSHIP:

TENDER NO: CGOKTI/277/2017-2018

The County Government of Kitui in line with its mandate for provision of affordable and sustainable housing and in fulfillment of its function to provide housing under the Fourth Schedule Part 2 (d) of the Constitution of Kenya, and in recognition of Article 43 (1) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya on the right to accessible and adequate housing and reasonable standards of sanitation, Wishes to invite private developers on the basis of the existing legal regime governing the mode of partnerships between counties and private partners as provided under the County Governments Act, to submit Requests for Proposals to develop affordable houses in Kitui Town in the following sites:

  • Lot No. 1 – Manyenyoni Green field site (Approximately 20 acres)
  • Lot No. 2 – Kitui Town (Brown Field site, Approximately 7.5acres)
  1. Kitui County Government HEREBY invites sealed bids from reputable, interested and competent firms to undertake the proposed Kitui Affordable Housing Project to be undertaken through Joint Venture Partnership.
  2. The RFP document can be downloaded from the official website of Kitui County Government Website: www.kitui.go.ke
  3. Complete Bid Documents enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and clearly marked: PROPOSED KITUI COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT TO BE UNDERTAKEN THROUGH JOINT VENTURE PARTNERSHIP: shall be deposited at the tender box located outside the office of Head of Supply Chain Management Services.
  4. Proposals must be submitted not later than the following date and time: 16th JULY 2018 at 12.00 Noon EAST AFRICAN TIME.
  5. Bulky documents that cannot be deposited in the Tender Box can be physically delivered to Kitui County, Procurement Office, and clearly marked on the envelope: DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 16th JULY 2018 12.00 Noon EAST AFRICAN TIME.
  6. The opening of the submitted bids will be done immediately thereafter in the presence of Bidders or their appointed Representatives who choose to attend the opening at the Board room.
  7. There will be a bidders Mandatory briefing and site Visit at Kitui County Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure, Housing & Urban Development Offices on the 25th June 2018
  8. The Bidders shall bear all the costs associated with submission of their Request for Proposal documents.
  9. Submission of the Bids must be consistent with the RFP document in the website.
  10. Bids received after closing date and/or time shall not be accepted.

Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Preparation of Kitui County Valuation Roll 2018

RFP NO. CGoKTI/LIUD/275/2017-2018

The County Government of Kitui, Department of Lands, Infrastructure, Housing & Urban Development wishes to undertake the Valuation of all the rateable properties in order to update the existing Valuation Roll and Land Rates applicable all over Kitui County.

It is on this premise that all interested professionals and eligible firms are invited for the expression of interest to prepare the Valuation Roll.
Interested parties must comply with the below listed among others as set out in the tender document:
a.    Attach Valid Certificate of Business Registration
b.    Attach Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
c.    Valid Registered Valuer with Valuers Registration Board
d.    Evidence of Similar Services offered

The County Government of Kitui (CGoKTI) through the county ministry of Agriculture and Livestock development intends to purchase 1,187 cattle for breeding purposes and fattening to be used in the improvement of local cattle breeds. We require 250 bulls and 937 cows of Sahiwal and Boran breeds.

Note that these tenders are reserved for Ranching Cooperative Societies who are located and operating within Kitui County pursuant to section 157(4) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015.

The Transition Authority in collaboration with Directorate of eGovernment and Government IT Services registered www.kitui.go.ke domain for the county. In order to implement a robust interactive county website that facilitates online service delivery, the County Government is sourcing for services of an ICT firm towards re-designing, developing and upgrading the official county website based on an enhanced secure platform and using the latest web technologies.
